Care advice:
Wool is naturally dirt and water repellent. If something does go wrong, dab it off quickly. Dried stains can be dabbed off with a gentle solution of wool detergent (please do not rub in one spot) and/or carefully removed with a brush. Washing is also possible, but please be sure to machine wash on the gentle cycle (wool cycle). Only use moisturizing soaps such as shampoo or wool detergent when cleaning felt products so that the natural fat content of the wool is not reduced. Then let it dry flat and iron with a moderately warm iron if necessary; wool setting, or steam is also fine.
Felt is a natural product made from pure new wool; it is hard-wearing and extremely tear-resistant. The phenomenon of pilling sometimes occurs on the surface of felt bags, i.e. small wool balls form due to friction. Please never pick these balls off, but carefully cut them off with scissors or use a lint shaver, as is also used for wool sweaters.
